From Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit to Bushy Park Barbados …

Bushy Park’s own ‘Director of Race School Development’, Steve Deeks, starts a new series of features that will appear weekly on the Bushy Park website – ‘The Deeks Technique – Pro Tips’ where Deeks will draw from a long career in professional motorsport, both as a driver, an MSUK S-licence tutor, motorsport TV presenter, Chief Coach from the inaugural ‘GT Academy’, Author & Presenter of ‘Go Racing’ and ‘Start Karting’, Presenter of SKY ONE’s ‘The Race’, etc. Deeks who raced for seventeen years in the UK, Europe and USA – and is back racing again, these days in Classics, will take a topic per week that will be of value to racers of all ages, abilities, and class of car – and gradually stitch together a picture of the complete professional behind the wheel. From his base out of Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit as ‘Head of Race Training & Instructor Development’, and as consultant to Great Britain’s MSUK, Deeks will share the experience of working alongside F1 drivers of the calibre of Sir Jackie Stewart, Johnny Herbert, David Coulthard, John Watson, Martin Donnelly, etc. – together with a lifetime spent working in and around the sport.

Deeks: ‘I am very excited to take the next step in our plan to consolidate Bushy Park as the natural home of motorsport across the region. It is important to make what is an expensive sport, as accessible as it can be – and making driver coaching tips available online – FOR FREE is a way forward to strengthen our commitment to our community. I have several special guests in mind, who are masters of their different disciplines, and I have asked some to guest on the platform, bring their specialist expertise to the party ... starting with the young twice World F1 Esports Champion Brendon Leigh, who I coach and mentor, dealing with the whole subject of SIM racing. The plan is, one short feature each week, published and archived on the Bushy Park website, starting very soon … don’t miss it’
